Since I’ll be asking questions to get to know you, it only feels fair to share a little about me first.
I’m a Minneapolis-based senior photographer and mom of four young adults — three launched into the world and one heading off to college this fall. Living through this season multiple times myself gives me a deep appreciation for how meaningful it really is. This chapter deserves to be remembered well.
Before photography became my career, I worked in advertising. When I stepped away to raise my kids, I picked up my camera again and was reminded why I fell in love with photography in the first place. What began as documenting my own children gradually grew into a commitment to preserving meaningful moments with honesty and intention. Setting aside my film camera, I invested in my first digital camera in the late ’90s, and began building the work I’m known for today.
I live in Minneapolis with my husband George, our German Shepherd Charlie, two cats, and four backyard chickens with big personalities.
I love cooking (my cookbook collection is slightly out of control), OrangeTheory workouts, audiobooks, knitting, and escaping to Northern Minnesota whenever possible. I'd choose mountains over beaches, skiing over lounging, and exploring over sitting still.
I photograph seniors because I understand how quickly this season passes. I know what it feels like to watch your child step into who they’re becoming. And I love creating images that reflect not just how you look, but who you are right now. Confident. Genuine. Fully yourself. Because this once-in-a-lifetime milestone deserves to be remembered well.
