What a celebration this wedding was.  Darcy and Bernard radiated joy and love from the moment they saw each other, and their family was equally as joyous.  The day was cold and a bit windy, but there were no complaints, just smiles and laughter all around.  Thanks for letting me document your lovely day!d b wedding1 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding2 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding3 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding4 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding5 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding6 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding101 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding7 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding8 Darcy + Bernard {Married}d b wedding9 Darcy + Bernard {Married}WEB SIG 1000 Darcy + Bernard {Married}

Jessica and Brian picked a gorgeous fall day to get married!  We had a great day in St. Cloud, and I loved photographing them in a fabulous classic car in front of the old “Frency’s” Restaurant sign.  The restaurant is no longer open, but their parents have fond memories of eating there when they were young, and the sign still stands!  We also spent some time at the beautiful Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud.  Jessica and Brian were so at ease and I enjoyed seeing the various locations in St. Cloud that had special meaning to them as a couple.  Congratulations to both of you, and thanks for letting me document your wedding day!jensen blog1 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog4 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog51 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog3 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog11 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog8 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog9 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog7 copy Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog10 Jessica & Brian {Married}jensen blog2 Jessica & Brian {Married}WEB SIG 1000 Jessica & Brian {Married}

Nicole and Adam have recently purchased an adorable home together in Lauderdale, so that is where we started our shoot.  I particularly loved the little “kissing couple” that had belonged to Nicole’s Grandmother.  We had a fun evening and ended up at the Hennepin Avenue bridge and Nicollet Island Inn.  The evening was timed perfectly as just a few raindrops fell as I drove home.  Nicole and Adam are fun, easy-going and just great to be around.  I look forward to your wedding next spring!

Joy and Jonathan first met at Caribou, so it made perfect sense to theme their wedding around something they both loved…coffee!  From the cake to the coffee bar to coffee beans in the centerpieces, the details were exquisite.  They are simply an adorable couple, and the happiness that surrounded them was so genuine and full of love.  But, most adorable of all is their son Caelum, who was the handsomest groomsman ever in his little mini tuxedo.  He was a champ all day, and didn’t complain a bit… even when he was wheeled down the aisle in his beautifully decorated portacrib!  Rather than having a receiving line, Joy and Jonathan chose to greet their guests while personally serving wedding cake or cheesecake (coffee flavored of course) which was a wonderful touch. The wedding and reception were both held at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center.  It was a spectacular evening, and I wish the three of you the happiest of days ahead!

A sneak peak of Alaina and James’ beautiful wedding at Thompson Park in St. Paul.

Alaina James St Paul Wedding Photographer  Married {Alaina + James}

I spent a very inspiring weekend at a wedding photography workshop taught by the lovely and talented Emily Steffen.  Several generous vendors lent their time and talent to our shoot, and to them I am very appreciative.  The cake and goodies were created by Shauna Younge Dessert Table, the many paper goods and styling by Bethany Hway, models hair and makeup by Aubrey Thoren and especially the adorable (already Mr. & Mrs.) couple, Kayla and Elliott.  Still so in love, they were a dream to photograph!  I gained not only loads of knowledge, but made some friends in the process which made the weekend even better.

Michelle and Bob were married in St. Paul, and the day – although windy – was just beautiful. This sort of felt like a family wedding to me, not only because I know the bridesmaids so well, but because they made me feel like part of the family.  Michelle is probably the most gracious bride I’ve ever met, and after many calamities in the week prior to the ceremony, the day went very smoothly.  Thanks Shell and Bob for letting me photograph your special day.  You two fit together beautifully!

Heather and Joel had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Earl Brown Heritage Center.  They braved the gusty wind and had a lovely outside ceremony.  These two are a wonderful match, and I wish them many many happy days to come!

Heather and Joel met me at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and we managed to avoid the rain that had come and gone all afternoon.  It was overcast, but the clouds were amazing, and the sun came out and shone brightly for us towards the end of our shoot.  You can just feel that there is so much love between them when they are together, and it was fun to spend some time getting to know them.  Their wedding is coming up in a few months, and I look forward to being there.brock blog Heather + Joel {engaged}

Joy and John met while working at Caribou Coffee, so what a great place to shoot engagement photos!  While we were outside the store, a large group of bike riders started going by.  As we snapped photos, one of the bikers crashed right in front of us.  I didn’t include those photos in this post (the biker got right up and was completely fine) but it makes me giggle to look at them nonetheless. John and Joy took it in stride and we went right on snapping photos.  Thanks for a fun evening. I look forward to  your wedding next summer!
